Evolution by Natural Selection

I have always been amazed by the ignorance that can cause people to say "Evolution is just a theory". It is very ironic when the very people who don't know the difference between a "fact" and a "theory" overlooks a theory.

Let's begin with defining fact and theory. Gravity is a fact, because you can observe it. It is there and it is undeniable. No one can argue that there is no gravity. That is why it is a fact. On the other hand, Theory of General Relativity is a theory that tries to explain how gravity works. Now that's a theory.

In the case of evolution, the evolution itself is a fact. It is there and no one can deny all the evidence and scientific proofs. However, Evolution by Natural Selection is a theory which tries to explain how evolution happens and works.
